Sno-Motion is an event for snow & ice management industry professionals, held every other year and hosted by Pro-Motion Consulting. We are pleased to announce that Sno-Motion 2015 will be brought to you by Venture Products, the manufacturer of Ventrac compact tractors.
Sno-Motion 2015 is sponsored by the Snow & Ice Management Association. Additional sponsors will be added as they commit to this unique event.
This event will be held in Ohio's breathtakingly beautiful Amish country, located in east-central Ohio. This area is the largest Amish community in the U.S. and a popular destination for tourists looking for the simple pleasures found here.
Sno-Motion attendees may wish to bring their families and stay an extra day or two to explore what this area has to offer. Here are some helpful links:
Sno-Motion 2015 attendees and their families will be staying at the Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek or Walnut Creek. We have secured both locations for our guests. The two hotels are located a few miles apart. Each location is unique with different amenities so you will want to check out the websites for details before booking your room(s).
A variety of room choices are available at each location, including two-bedroom suites and executive rooms, in addition to traditional room styles. All room options are magnificently appointed, spacious, and comfortable. Both properties will allow you to step back and put your mind at ease with unmatched hospitality before and after Sno-Motion educational sessions.
To secure your room(s), you must CALL the hotel of your choice. Mention "Ventrac/Sno-Motion" to secure your room(s) at the negotiated room rates. We have reserved all rooms at both locations for our event. Because of this, online registration is not available (website registration will show that no rooms are available). If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Pro-Motion Consulting office at (248) 436-8121.

The event will kick off with a dinner and program Wednesday evening, July 22 at the Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek location where you'll enjoy a family-style, home-cooked meal, with an array of freshly baked breads and desserts - Amish hospitality at it's finest.
We are pleased to have Tim Troyer as our special guest speaker Wednesday evening. Tim is the CEO of Momentum Coaching & Consulting. He is a gifted communicator and has traveled to 63 countries in his roles as speaker, coach, and consultant. His presentation will focus on the "Importance of Developing Leaders."
The Snow & Ice Management Association is the exclusive sponsor of our Welcome Dinner & Program.
On Thursday, July 23, attendees will experience a day of education and fun at the award-winning Breitenbach Winery. Lunch and dinner will be provided on-site. Of course, the agenda will include a full tour of the wine-making process and complimentary wine-tasting.
Educational sessions will be held in the property's newest structure, The Tool Shed, a 16,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art conference center shown above and set in the center of the scenic Breitenbach Vineyards.
The theme of our educational sessions is FOCUS. Sno-Motion attendees will participate in a series of interactive sessions during the morning and afternoon Thursday, with brief presentations by the Pro-Motion Consulting team, group discussions, and break-out table discussions. This will be an outstanding opportunity to learn from your peers, network, and sharpen your knowledge in several key areas of a snow & ice management business.
Session One - FOCUS on People "Attracting & Retaining Talent/Becoming an Employer of Choice"
Session Two - FOCUS on Leadership "Becoming a Strengths-Based Organization/Intentional Development"
Session Three - FOCUS on Growth "Managing Organizational Growth/Common Growth Mistakes"
Session Four - FOCUS on Transition "Preparing for Your Transition or Exit/Steps to Take & Pitfalls to Avoid"
Session Five - FOCUS on Hot Spots - Sno-Motion attendees will select their most critical challenges or concerns for the consideration of the entire group.
Sno-Motion attendees will earn 12 CEU's to be applied toward the re-certification of the Certified Snow Professional (CSP) and/or Landscape Industry Certified Manager (formerly CLP) designations.
Friday's activities will be held at the expansive, new Ventrac manufacturing facility in Orrville, Ohio. Attendees will enjoy a complete factory tour of this Leed-certified facility, learn about the company's history, culture, and be treated to lunch. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to operate the various Ventrac models and attachments, as well as participate in an optional equipment rodeo!
Sno-Motion will end after lunch Friday so that attendees may rejoin their families for a weekend in Amish Country or get home for the weekend.
