After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, our founder, President, and CEO, Phil Harwood, spent over ten years with a $500 million landscape nursery retailer in store-level and corporate management positions including store manager, training manager, district manager, and business manager.

In 1995, Phil made a career move from retail management to the commercial facility services industry. As a project manager and branch manager with Michigan's largest landscape & snow management contractor, he held account management responsibilities for some of the largest and most prestigious properties in the state.

In 1999, Phil was a founding partner in a start-up landscape and snow management firm that he helped grow to over $10 million in annual revenues in just over 8 years. He successfully negotiated a buy-out of his ownership in 2007, left on good terms, and began his consulting firm in 2008.
